Marek A. Stawiski, M.D.

Board Certified Dermatologist

Dr. Stawiski completed his medical degree at the University of Michigan.  After a one year internship at the University of Wisconsin, he returned to the University of Michigan for his three-year dermatology residency.  He spent four years as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at U of M before settling into private practice in Grand Rapids, in 1978.  He continues to teach young physicians in the office through the Grand Rapids Medical Education and Research Center. Dr. Stawiski is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of Dermatopathology.  He is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine at Michigan State University.  His areas of expertise include skin cancer, skin surgery, psoriasis, and eczema.

Matthew T. Zoeteman, PA-C

Dermatology Physician Assistant

Matt Zoeteman is delighted to be joining the caring staff at the Psoriasis & Eczema Treatment Center of Western Michigan as a dermatology physician assistant. A Grand Rapids native, Matt obtained his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Grand Valley State University in 2017. Prior to that, Matt was an orthopedic RN, after graduating from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2014.

In his spare time, Matt enjoys all that Michigan has to offer with his fiancée, Cait, a registered dietitian. He can also be found at the dog beach in Muskegon, with his black lab rescue, Jack, or exploring Grand Rapids on his bike.

He is licensed by the State of Michigan and is board certified by the National Commission of Physician Assistants. Additionally, he is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Michigan Dermatology Physician Assistants. Matt believes that every patient should be treated like family. He is looking forward to meeting with, advocating for, and treating patients for their dermatological conditions.

Amy Benedict, PA-C

Dermatology Physician Assistant

We are pleased to welcome Amy Benedict, PA-C to the Psoriasis & Eczema Treatment Center of Western Michigan. She has been practicing over 20 years as a Physician Assistant (PA) and is a graduate of Western Michigan University’s PA Program in Kalamazoo, MI. Amy is licensed to practice in the state of Michigan, board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and brings a vast array of clinical experience to our office.

Amy and her husband reside in Zeeland, MI and have two children attending college in Tennessee as Nursing majors. In her leisure time, Amy enjoys spending time with family and friends, performing music, traveling, and enjoying all of the outdoor beauty and activities Michigan has to offer.

Amy looks forward to educating patients and providing them with compassionate, quality care.
