Marek A. Stawiski, M.D.
Board Certified Dermatologist
Dr. Stawiski completed his medical degree at the University of Michigan. After a one year internship at the University of Wisconsin, he returned to the University of Michigan for his three-year dermatology residency. He spent four years as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at U of M before settling into private practice in Grand Rapids, in 1978. He continues to teach young physicians in the office through the Grand Rapids Medical Education and Research Center. Dr. Stawiski is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of Dermatopathology. He is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine at Michigan State University. His areas of expertise include skin cancer, skin surgery, psoriasis, and eczema.
Matthew T. Zoeteman, PA-C
Dermatology Physician Assistant
Matt Zoeteman is delighted to be joining the caring staff at the Psoriasis & Eczema Treatment Center of Western Michigan as a dermatology physician assistant. A Grand Rapids native, Matt obtained his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Grand Valley State University in 2017. Prior to that, Matt was an orthopedic RN, after graduating from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2014.
In his spare time, Matt enjoys all that Michigan has to offer with his fiancée, Cait, a registered dietitian. He can also be found at the dog beach in Muskegon, with his black lab rescue, Jack, or exploring Grand Rapids on his bike.
He is licensed by the State of Michigan and is board certified by the National Commission of Physician Assistants. Additionally, he is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Michigan Dermatology Physician Assistants. Matt believes that every patient should be treated like family. He is looking forward to meeting with, advocating for, and treating patients for their dermatological conditions.
Beth Sweney, PA-C is the Clinical Supervisor of the Psoriasis and Eczema Treatment Center. Beth graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ferris State University, where she was named The Outstanding Graduate in Biology. She then obtained her Master in Physician Assistant Studies from Grand Valley State University and is now an Affiliated Clinical Faculty for GVSU’s MPAS program and a Fellow of SDPA. She is a nationally recognized expert specialist in chronic inflammatory skin diseases such as psoriasis, eczema/atopic dermatitis, and hidradenitis suppurativa. Beth manages one of the largest psoriasis patient populations in the nation and is frequently consulted for her expertise on treatment, psoriasis protocol development, and biologic management. She is passionate about improving patients’ quality of life through controlling their chronic skin disease. She believes everyone deserves to feel comfortable in their own skin.
Beth accepts new patient referrals for psoriasis, eczema/atopic dermatitis, and hidradenitis suppurativa on a walk-in basis. Call our office for details!
